Welcome to Bolognagourmet.it

Bologna Gourmet is an association which we created to introduce our ever more numerous visitors to the gastronomic wonders of “fat” Bologna and its friendly and hospitable region, Emilia-Romagna.

We also want to go looking for those culinary delights which are not so well known, but are characteristic and inimitabile and which have made our region the reference point for all Italian cooking.

Products such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma ham, mortadella, balsamic vinegar and culatello, the traditional cured pork salame, are well known and appreciated all over the world, from top chefs to the ordinary consumer.

We’ll also pay particular attention to wine: as well as the celebrated  Sangiovese and Lambrusco, we’ll go and discover other less well known but equally excellent types of wine..


We have two kinds of tour on offer:

- Tours around Bologna and its famous  porticos, especially around the medieval market, the Mercato di Mezzo, which is steeped in history, to get to know, appreciate and sample the best products, such as  our homemade pasta, mortadella, fresh fruit and vegetables, and  the many other gastronomic delights.

- Full day or half day gastronomic tours all over the region, including visits to wine producers and the areas of production, to get a more detailed look at the different stages of the processing of our typical products.

Our tours are exclusively for little groups, from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 8 persons.
This means an extreme attention for the details and a complete attendance to our guests for any request or variation.


To finish off our all round gastronomic experience of Emilia, we also offer evenings to learn to make fresh pasta and other typical dishes in the best tradition of our “sfogline”, the women who make the traditional hand made pasta.
