We start the day with a visit of Comacchio village and its typical bridges and canals (including the famous complex of Trepponti), by many nicknamed Little Venice.

Later we will visit a traditional marinated eel producer (a Slow Food Ark of Taste product), learning everything about this ancient art.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant to taste the delicious eel, with its strong and salty flavor.

We move then to the small, delightful medieval town of Ferrara, where we will visit the Castle, the beautiful Cathedral and the intricate narrow streets. Ferrara area is famous for the bread, the famous coppia, in dialect "ciupeta". Ferrara is also renowned for the typical squash tortelli, the salama da sugo (a strong and spicy big sausage), the macaroni pie (from the Renaissance period) and pampepato (a spicy chocolate cake).

On request we can have lunch in Ferrara instead of Comacchio.
